Yamaha pulls out of Qatar MotoGP race

Yamaha has announced it will sit out the upcoming 2026 Qatar Grand Prix, keeping its four motorcycles off the grid at the Lusail track due to corporate travel limitations concerning the Middle East. Championship organizers expressed disappointment regarding the choice, noting that sufficient safety guarantees had been shared prior to the announcement, and warned that the manufacturer now faces potential breaches of its contractual obligations along with possible sporting sanctions from the FIM.
