Xavier Lucas joins 6 other Miami players as out for Clemson clash

Miami faces a significant roster depletion in its secondary ahead of a crucial Atlantic Coast Conference matchup against Clemson, with cornerback Xavier Lucas joining six teammates on the injured list. Alongside OJ Frederique and Ja’Boree Antoine, Lucas will miss the game, leaving the Hurricanes severely short-handed in the defensive backfield against Tigers coach Dabo Swinney.

Despite these defensive absences, Miami's offense features standout quarterback Darian Mensah and wide receiver Malachi Toney, both of whom have delivered record-breaking performances in their debut season. While linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin Jr.

is listed as probable, skill position players CharMar Brown and Joshua Moore have also been ruled out for the contest.
