WPL history-maker returns. USA pacer joins Mumbai Indians for 2027 edition

USA left‑arm fast bowler Tara Norris has been transferred to Mumbai Indians for the 2027 Women’s Premier League, with the franchise paying her existing price of Rs 10 lakh after she was traded from UP Warriorz. The move marks her return to the competition, where she first made headlines by becoming the inaugural five‑wicket taker in the league’s debut season.

Norris achieved that feat in March 2023, claiming 5 for 29 for Delhi Capitals against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, dismissing stars such as Ellyse Perry and Heather Knight and earning Player of the Match. She previously recorded seven wickets in five matches for Delhi, missed the 2026 season due to national duties, and has taken 21 wickets in 17 WT20Is for the United States, including a best of 4/33 against Scotland.
