Wolverines in the NFL: J.J. McCarthy sparks comeback for New York Giants

The New York Giants’ quarterback situation took a surprising turn in Week 6, as J.J. McCarthy delivered a standout performance off the bench against the New Orleans Saints.

Entering the fourth quarter with New York trailing 34-10, McCarthy led a late-game rally, completing 11 of 21 passes for 243 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while also adding 26 rushing yards on two attempts. His efforts nearly closed a 24-point deficit, keeping the Giants within seven points before the final whistle in their 34-27 loss.

The former Michigan quarterback’s clutch play has reignited discussions about New York’s quarterback depth as the team evaluates its options moving forward.
