WNBA Insider Clears Up Confusion After Houston Comets’ Front Office Leak Ahead of 2027 Season

A viral video featuring a representative from the returning Houston Comets has sparked debate regarding the 2027 WNBA schedule. The clip suggested that the league would begin its season on May 1, a date that would accommodate an expansion to a 50-game schedule.

However, league officials have not verified this timeline, and reports indicate that an official start date remains undetermined. While the draft is confirmed for April 12, the league has yet to finalize the calendar for the upcoming year.

The Comets representative also projected that the full schedule would be released to the public between early and mid-December.
