The WNBA Finals between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries faced a last-minute venue shift after scheduling conflicts threatened to disrupt the championship series. Originally set to play Games 3 and 4 at the Dream’s smaller Gateway Center Arena—capable of seating just 3,500 fans—the league announced a change on October 13, moving both games to the larger State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks.
The adjustment resolved two major conflicts: a concert by Sombr on October 22 and the Hawks’ season opener on October 24, which had blocked the arena’s availability. Game 3 was rescheduled from October 22 to October 21 at 8 p.m.
ET, while Game 4 moved from 3:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
ET on October 24, allowing the Hawks to host the Houston Rockets later that evening. The switch provides the Dream with a 17,000-seat venue for their first Finals appearance since 2013, easing fan access for a historic series.
However, the location for a potential Game 6 remains undetermined.
