Wings' Paige Bueckers discovered the harsh reality of playoff basketball despite historic debut

Paige Bueckers put together an exceptional performance during her initial postseason appearance, establishing a new league benchmark by making ninety percent of her field goal attempts while collecting twenty-one points. Even with that historic shooting display, the Dallas guard found herself overwhelmed alongside her colleagues as the Golden State Valkyries dominated the opening contest of the series.

Golden State seized momentum during a heavily lopsided second frame, outscoring their opponents thirty-seven to eleven on the way to a decisive one hundred four to eighty victory. The remainder of the Dallas starting lineup struggled mightily against the top-ranked defensive unit, connecting on only seven shots collectively while center Jessica Shepard was held scoreless throughout twenty-four minutes of action.

Following the blowout loss, Dallas faces a must-win situation on Wednesday to keep their postseason hopes alive and force the matchup back to the Bay Area.
