Windies opener Greaves ruled out of second ODI against India with injury

Justin Greaves will miss the upcoming second one-day international against India in Guwahati after suffering a calf problem. The West Indies cricket board confirmed the physical setback occurred during his recent batting performance in the series opener.

During that initial encounter in Thiruvanathapuram, the thirty-two-year-old batter scored 101 runs from 108 deliveries, featuring twelve boundaries, though his team ultimately suffered an eight-wicket loss. This century marked his maiden triple-digit score in this format across twenty-six appearances.

Officials have not yet determined if he will recover in time to participate in the final fixture scheduled for October 3 in New Chandigarh.
