The Milwaukee Brewers entered Game 2 of the National League Championship Series looking to build on their hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1. The series, which began with a pitcher’s duel between Jacob Misiorowski and Dodgers ace Tarik Skubal, took an early turn in the top of the third when the Dodgers capitalized on Brewers defensive errors to seize a 2-1 lead.
That momentum shifted dramatically in the fifth inning, however, as William Contreras delivered a clutch home run to tie the game at 2-2. The Brewers’ offensive resurgence continued in Game 1 with Brice Turang’s solo homer off Skubal, while manager Pat Murphy adjusted the lineup to maximize contributions beyond Christian Yelich’s usual role.
With both teams now tied heading into the late innings, the NLCS remains wide open as the Brewers aim to take control of the series on their home turf.
