Will Napheesa Collier be back with the Lynx? Minnesota enters a murky offseason

Following a surprising sweep by the eighth-seeded New York Liberty in the opening round of the postseason, the Minnesota Lynx face a complicated offseason highlighted by uncertainty regarding star player Napheesa Collier's future with the franchise. After returning late in the schedule from ankle surgeries that required lengthy rehabilitation, Collier played out a one-year contract, distinguishing her commitment from peers who secured multi-year agreements under the recent collective bargaining agreement.

Minnesota head coach Cheryl Reeve will now evaluate the difficulties that derailed the top-seeded squad, particularly their struggles against New York's defensive length and a late-season four-game losing streak heading into elimination. With key contributors like rookie point guard Olivia Miles and Collier anchoring the roster, the franchise must determine the necessary adjustments after an abrupt playoff exit at Barclays Center.
