Why Souness rejected Barcelona when he left Liverpool

Graeme Souness recently disclosed that he turned down a move to Barcelona following his 1984 departure from Liverpool. The midfielder opted for Sampdoria instead, citing a need for a three-year contract and his wife's requirement to reside outside the UK for financial reasons.

In the same interview, Souness discussed the current state of Scottish football, noting that Derek McInnes has established a psychological advantage for Rangers over Celtic. This follows two recent victories for the side, including a 3-0 League Cup triumph and a 1-0 league win.
