Why does Robbie Ure have first name on his Scotland shirt?

During Sebastien Pocognoli's debut match managing the Scottish national squad against Slovenia at the Stozice Arena, striker Robbie Ure caught attention by wearing his full given name on his jersey instead of just his surname. The 22-year-old Sevilla player, who previously featured for IK Sirius and the Rangers youth system, explained that people routinely call him by his full first name and noted that his surname is too short for his liking.

Ure started upfront alongside Oli McBurnie and played until the 67th minute when Kieron Bowie substituted him in a game that ended with the visitors claiming a single point.
