Why Diego Pavia was on Colorado football's sideline for Utah game

Former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia made an unexpected appearance at the Utah vs. Colorado football game, donning Buffaloes gear and dancing on the sidelines during the matchup.

The visit comes amid a challenging stretch for Colorado, which has lost four consecutive games, including a recent defeat to the No. 11-ranked Utah Utes.

Head coach Deion Sanders, who has faced criticism over the team’s struggles, is now under pressure to adjust his recruiting approach, as longtime NFL analyst Shannon Sharpe recently warned that star power alone won’t secure future talent. Meanwhile, Pavia, who has been without a team since his release by the Baltimore Ravens, has drawn attention for his bold move, reigniting discussions about his career trajectory and potential ties to Sanders’ program.

The Buffaloes’ 2-4 start and a leaked playbook controversy ahead of the Utah game have further complicated Sanders’ tenure, raising questions about the team’s direction under his leadership.
