
Ahead of their opening game for the 2026-27 campaign, the Anaheim Ducks locked in young defenseman Tristan Luneau with a six-year contract extension carrying a 7.2 million dollar average annual value, which takes effect in the 2027-28 season. General manager Pat Verbeek orchestrated the surprising deal despite the twenty-two year old player having logged just fourteen games of NHL experience and four points at the top level prior to the agreement.
