Which Former Sharks are Playing on the NHL's Opening Day?

As the NHL regular season gets underway tonight with five matchups, hockey enthusiasts keeping tabs on former San Jose players will find scattered representation across the league. While opening contests between Florida and Carolina, and Montreal against Toronto, feature no active alumni from Team Teal, other fixtures offer various degrees of participation.

Jonah Gadjovich remains sidelined with an injury for the Panthers, and Vincent Iorio is currently on injured reserve for the Rangers alongside a waivers designation, while Michael Eyssimont is projected as a scratch for Boston. Elsewhere, action on the ice highlights several familiar faces, particularly in the matchup between Chicago and Vegas where Ryan Donato, Tomas Hertl, and Adin Hill are rostered.

Meanwhile, the Oilers defensive unit showcases Jake Walman and newcomer Shakir Mukhamadullin alongside Ty Emberson, with Walman and Mukhamadullin anticipated to see playing time against Vancouver.
