Where Tennessee ranks in college football polls after loss to Texas

Following a narrow defeat against Texas during the fourth week of the 2026 campaign, the Volunteers slid four positions within the latest US LBM Coaches Poll. Tennessee currently sits at seventeenth overall with a three-and-one record and zero-and-one conference mark, while the upcoming Associated Press Top 25 is scheduled to arrive later on the twenty-seventh of September.

Looking ahead to October third, the squad is slated to host Auburn at their home field with television coverage provided by ABC or ESPN.
