Where LSU Tigers Defense Ranks Against Other NCAA Teams Through Four Weeks

Blake Baker oversees an elite unit that anchors the squad's playoff ambitions despite a lone defensive stumble against the Ole Miss Rebels. Through four games, the group anchors the second-best rushing defense nationally by surrendering just forty-seven and a half yards per contest, highlighted by stellar efforts from linebackers such as Whit Weeks and Dashawn Spears.

Opposing quarterbacks have also faced immense pressure, allowing the unit to claim the top spot with nineteen total sacks, spearheaded by standout performances from Princewill Umanmielen and Deuce Geralds. Meanwhile, the passing defense sits thirty-eighth overall after yielding three hundred sixty-three yards through the air in that single defeat, though they otherwise surrendered a stingy one hundred eighteen yards per outing.

Overall, the squad surrenders two hundred twenty-six and eight-tenths total yards per game to secure the third spot nationally in total defense.
