Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will likely next take the field for India during their upcoming tour of New Zealand in November 2026, as both veterans have already stepped away from Test and T20 international formats. The opening fixture of the five-match fifty-over series is scheduled to get underway at Eden Park in Auckland on November fourth.
Prior to joining up with the squad for the one-day matches, the pair will sit out the preceding five-match T20 series in New Zealand. Both batters recently featured in a home series against the West Indies in late September and early October, where Rohit accumulated two hundred twenty-five runs across three games including a century, while Kohli opened that same series with an unbeaten one hundred thirty-nine followed by a quickfire twenty-nine before falling for a golden duck in the final match.
