What's next for the Indiana Fever, needing front office leadership? Key decisions remain

Following the departure of long-standing president Kelly Krauskopf after twenty-seven years and the dismissal of general manager Amber Cox after two seasons, the Indiana franchise faces a pivotal leadership void. Despite acquiring top draft selections Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark in 2023 and 2024 alongside star Kelsey Mitchell, the club managed only sixth-place regular-season finishes and a single semifinal appearance, leaving the organisation searching for leadership capable of handling mounting championship pressure and complex salary cap challenges.

Executives like CEO Mel Raines noted that a nationwide search is underway to secure a new general manager without a finalized timeline. The incoming front office will face immediate financial constraints as Boston and Clark approach major contract milestones and Mitchell enters free agency, requiring careful navigation to keep the core roster intact amidst intense public scrutiny.
