Watch: Cooper Connolly takes one-handed blinder to dismiss Aiden Markram in 2nd ODI

During the second match of the series in Johannesburg, Australia elected to field first after winning the toss. On the opening delivery of the innings, Josh Hazlewood induced a shot from Aiden Markram, which was brilliantly intercepted by Cooper Connolly through a leaping, one-handed grab at cover point.

Markram thus became the sixth South African player to be dismissed on the very first ball of an ODI fixture. Later in the contest, South Africa reached fifty-one runs for the loss of two wickets after ten overs while searching for a stable partnership.
