Washington Commanders reportedly signing old friend Austin Ekeler

Washington is planning to bring back running back Austin Ekeler, according to reports from Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. The agreement is contingent upon the player passing a physical examination.

Ekeler previously missed time after sustaining a torn Achilles tendon in Week 2 against Green Bay and recently auditioned for Carolina.

This roster addition arrives as depth insurance following a shoulder injury to Rachaad White, who finished the previous contest with an ice pack applied to his arm. Head coach Dan Quinn is scheduled to address both player statuses during an upcoming press conference.
