The Golden State Warriors have locked in Brandin Podziemski to a five-year, $110 million extension, securing the 23-year-old shooting guard’s future with the franchise through the 2029-30 season. Drafted in 2023 as the No.
19 overall pick under then-new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr., Podziemski has since carved out a key role as a starter alongside Stephen Curry, averaging 11.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game over his three NBA seasons. The deal, which includes a mutual option in the final year and a trade kicker, follows a standout 2025-26 campaign in which he played all 82 games and started 43, posting career-high averages of 13.8 points, 3.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds.
With Draymond Green returning and Jimmy Butler recovering from injury, Podziemski’s extension adds stability to a Warriors roster also eyeing rookie Yaxel Lendeborg’s impact after his No. 11 selection in the same draft class as Victor Wembanyama.
The team opens the 2026-27 season on October 21, traveling to Los Angeles to face the Lakers in their season opener.
