Wales without seven players for World Cup play-off

Head coach Rhian Wilkinson must plan without seven unavailable squad members due to fitness concerns ahead of an upcoming World Cup play-off semi-final against Albania next month. Among the sidelined athletes is key midfielder Ceri Holland, alongside Olivia Clark, Hayley Ladd, Laura Hughes, Ffion Morgan, Ella Powell, and Mia Ross.

To counter these absences, the manager has selected two teenagers for their first senior international opportunities, namely Casi Gregson and Heidi Hills. The opening leg of the fixture takes place on October 9 in Albania, with the return leg scheduled four days later in Llanelli.
