Veneto Classic: Brandon McNulty punctuates season with first victory in rainbow stripes

World road race champion Brandon McNulty delivered a commanding performance at the Veneto Classic, securing his first professional victory while racing in the rainbow jersey. The American rider broke clear with 10 kilometers remaining in the 157.6-kilometer race, surging ahead solo to hold off a late challenge from Anthon Charmig, who finished second 1 minute and 6 seconds behind.

McNulty’s UAE Team Emirates-XRG teammate Pavel Sivakov rounded out the podium in third, 1 minute and 32 seconds back, while the remaining top five riders trailed by over a minute. The win capped a strong late-season run for McNulty, who had previously placed second at Coppa Agostini and fifth at Il Lombardia, marking a dominant close to the European road season.
