Finucane will 'come back fighting' after missing gold

Emma Finucane secured three medals at the Track Cycling World Championships in Shanghai, claiming bronze in the keirin after narrow defeats to Alina Lysenko and Lea Friedrich, while adding silver medals from the team and individual sprint events. The twenty-three-year-old expressed pride in her podium finishes across all three events and vowed to return stronger as she sets her sights on the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028.

Great Britain finished at the summit of the overall medal standings with a total of twelve medals, boosted by Anna Morris winning three gold medals and the ongoing internal competition within the British squad.
