Vanderbilt ball carrier Sedrick Alexander has committed to contributing $280 for each end zone trip he records going forward to benefit the ALS Association. The pledge serves as a tribute to former Tennessee Titans standout Chris Johnson, who recently shared his diagnosis following the acceleration of his condition.
Commodores head coach Clark Lea praised the decision, highlighting the athlete's dedication to the surrounding community and noting the significance of sharing the same jersey number with the retired professional star. Alexander has accumulated two scores on the ground across twenty-six rushing attempts for 152 yards so far this year, adding to his career totals since joining the program in 2023.
