Tropical Storm Rachel has forced a significant change to the schedule for Saturday’s Big 12 showdown between Utah and Kansas. The game, originally set for a late-night kickoff at 10:15 p.m.
ET, has been moved up to 8 p.m. ET (6 p.m.
MT) to avoid worsening weather conditions in Salt Lake City. The adjustment, agreed upon by both programs, reflects forecasts predicting heavy rain and stormy conditions in the area.
Utah, currently riding a 4-0 record under first-year head coach Morgan Scalley, enters the matchup with a potent offense led by quarterback Devon Dampier, who tops the Big 12 in passing efficiency (172.2), and running back Wayshawn Parker, who ranks third in the conference with an average of 6.56 yards per carry. The Utes’ defense, meanwhile, has been a national standout, allowing just 10.25 points per game through six weeks.
Kansas, at 2-2 on the season, looks to build on its recent 55-0 victory over Middle Tennessee as they face the storm-challenged rescheduling. The game will be streamed live in full on the ESPN app, with further TV details to follow.
