Utah Jazz at Phoenix Suns: Recap and Final Score

The Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns kicked off their preseason campaign with a tightly contested matchup at the Mortgage Matchup Center, where both teams deployed their projected starting lineups for the regular season. The first quarter saw a back-and-forth battle, with early scoring from Darryn Petersen and Jaylen Green, followed by a flurry of three-pointers and a dramatic alley-oop play by Devin Booker and Ace Bailey that gave the Jazz a brief lead.

Keyonte George’s turnover and missed free throws, along with Devin Booker’s clutch three, kept the score close, but the Suns’ struggles from beyond the arc allowed Utah to hold a slim 1-point advantage by the end of the period. The Jazz’s offense cooled mid-quarter, while Phoenix’s inconsistent shooting left both teams searching for answers as the game shifted into the second half.
