USC’s Lincoln Riley admits ‘disappointment’ in Desman Stephens celebrating after Dante Moore injury

Following a controversial hit during a recent matchup, USC head coach Lincoln Riley addressed the one-game suspension handed down to Desman Stephens. Stephens was penalized for a dangerous collision with Oregon quarterback Dante Moore that resulted in the signal-caller being taken off the field on a stretcher and subsequently diagnosed with a concussion.

Riley expressed clear disapproval regarding Stephens celebrating on the field while Moore remained injured, noting that the defender needs better situational awareness. Because of the disciplinary ban, Stephens will miss the upcoming contest against Washington.
