Ure delighted 'unusual route' has earned first Scotland call-up

Robbie Ure has expressed satisfaction after his unconventional career path culminated in a maiden senior selection for the Scotland national team under manager Sebastien Pocognoli. The twenty-two-year-old forward previously developed at the Rangers academy before transferring to Anderlecht in 2023 due to limited playing time, subsequently netting thirty-one goals across fifty appearances for Swedish outfit IK Sirius.

Following a permanent transfer to Spanish club Sevilla last month for an initial five and a half million pounds, the attacker hopes to bring a fresh dynamic to a revamped international squad that features numerous changes from previous selections.
