The Campos Racing driver had developed into a primary championship contender alongside Trident competitor Freddie Slater across the summer months, with both drivers distinguishing themselves through steady results in feature races.
Slater had established a formidable campaign early on, capturing top-three finishes in six feature events across the opening seven rounds prior to the summer hiatus. However, Ugochukwu ultimately managed to edge out his rival to secure the overall crown.
