UF injuries: No. 8 Gators hopeful WR Vernell Brown III can play at No. 25 Missouri

Florida head coach Jon Sumrall expressed optimism that top pass catcher Vernell Brown III will suit up when the eighth-ranked Gators travel to face No. 25 Missouri this weekend.

Brown sustained a low-grade strain in his right leg during a 52-28 victory over Ole Miss, though subsequent imaging confirmed no long-term damage.

In addition to monitoring Brown's pain threshold, the team is managing a sore back for Bailey Stockton following a heavy collision in the previous contest, while veteran Eric Singleton is expected to return to full practice capacity after recovering from an earlier ankle injury.
