Tyler Freeman made contact, but not enough impact

Tyler Freeman endured a difficult second campaign with the Colorado Rockies during the 2026 season, finishing with a negative two point zero rWAR and eventually being removed from the forty-man roster by late summer. Although he displayed moments of high contact and defensive contributions from his throwing arm in right field, injuries and a severe offensive slump in the summer months hindered his overall performance.

He batted two hundred forty-three across seventy-nine major league games with one home run and three runs batted in before completing his year in Triple-A. His highlights included a multi-hit performance against Cincinnati in late April where he launched a two-run shot off Andrew Abbott at Petco Park.
