Ahead of the upcoming auction in Kochi on October 28, the Gujarat Giants have shifted their roster strategy by retaining fifteen team members while letting go of only four. This approach stands in sharp contrast to the 2024 campaign under head coach Michael Klinger, which concluded with a fifth-place finish and eleven roster departures.
Klinger, who succeeded Rachael Haynes in February 2024, pointed to strong organizational support and squad continuity as the drivers behind this new philosophy. The team is currently conducting an off-season camp in Bengaluru to evaluate data from previous matches, identifying the bowling department as a prime target for enhancement before the tournament begins.
Although they have not yet reached a final, the franchise retains full confidence in their current roster, which includes keeping Yastika Bhatia despite her ongoing recovery from knee surgery.
