Trail Blazers fire Braiden Bell in less than a day over resurfaced social media posts

The Portland Trail Blazers quickly reversed course on Thursday after hiring Braiden Bell as their newest television play-by-play announcer. Just hours after announcing the appointment, the franchise reversed the decision and dismissed Bell following the discovery of offensive historical social media posts from his teenage years.

Team leadership emphasized a strict policy against inappropriate online commentary, acknowledging that their vetting procedures fell short of organizational standards. Portland is currently searching for a replacement broadcaster to succeed Kevin Calabro for the upcoming schedule.
