Towhid Hridoy etched his name into the record books by scoring an unbeaten 242 for Bangladesh against the West Indies, marking the highest individual Test score by a player from his country. His massive innings, which featured 11 sixes and 22 fours across 359 balls, helped his side overcome a difficult start to post 386 for nine.
This performance makes him the fourth Bangladeshi to reach a Test double century and the first to turn a maiden hundred into one. Hridoy received key support from Taijul Islam and Taskin Ahmed during lower-order partnerships that pushed Bangladesh to a 30-run lead.
This achievement follows his record-breaking 350 for Bangladesh A against South Africa A earlier this year.
