Hardik Pandya will sit out the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as his ongoing recovery from a fresh shin injury delays his return to competitive cricket. The all-rounder has been sidelined since May and spent considerable time at the Centre of Excellence following multiple fitness issues.
His brother Krunal Pandya has been named to captain the fifteen-player squad for the domestic T20 competition. The roster also includes Jitesh Sharma, Deepak Hooda, and Rasikh Salam, with their campaign opening against Chandigarh.
