The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has decided to dedicate three sections at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium to Ravichandran Ashwin, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, and Srinivasaraghavan Venkataraghavan.
This announcement was made public on September 29, 2026, honoring three distinct eras of cricket excellence from the region. A special dedication ceremony is scheduled for December 12 prior to a Big Bash League match between the Perth Scorchers and the Melbourne Renegades, allowing the three legends to attend in person.
Venkataraghavan represented the national squad during the 1970s before enjoying a lengthy umpiring career, Srikkanth captained the side after helping secure the 1983 World Cup title, and Ashwin wrapped up his stellar career in 2024 as India's second-highest Test wicket-taker.
