Title, ring and IVF eye opener - Evans' whirlwind year

Wales international rugby player Evans recently celebrated a surprise engagement to partner Botterman, despite the pair competing on opposite sides at both club and international levels. Attending a match in Salford to watch Botterman make her return from injury during England's win over Australia—part of a historic 39-match Test winning streak for the English squad—Evans expressed deep pride in her partner's accomplishments while juggling her own athletic commitments.

While official wedding dates remain unfixed, Welsh teammates Alisha Joyce and Meg Webb have already been designated as bridesmaids tasked with organising the hen party.

Looking further ahead, the couple revealed on The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby podcast that they have begun exploring parenthood, with Botterman undergoing initial IVF scans. Both athletes commended their respective setups, notably highlighting the strong backing for families shown by England head coach John Mitchell alongside Wales boss Sean Lynn.

They drew inspiration from teammates Jaz and Alisha Joyce, whose son Ralphie was born in November as the inaugural infant welcomed into the Welsh camp. Despite Botterman's English ties, Evans jokingly insisted any future children will unequivocally sport Welsh jerseys.
