This one stat lost the Washington Mystics Game 1 against the Atlanta Dream

The Washington Mystics secured the fifth seed for the 2026 WNBA postseason following a strong conclusion to their regular season schedule. However, their playoff opening contest against the Atlanta Dream ended in a fifteen-point defeat after the Mystics struggled heavily with ball security.

Sydney Johnson's squad committed twenty-two turnovers compared to only seven by Atlanta, erasing statistical advantages in rebounding and field goals made. Georgia Amoore, Shakira Austin, and Michaela Onyenwere each recorded four turnovers, while Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen added three apiece.
