This Hour Has 22 Minutes (Without A Shot), But Senators Still Rally To Beat Nashville In A Shootout

The Ottawa Senators defied expectations in a dramatic 3-2 shootout victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday, overcoming a 22-minute stretch without a single shot on goal. After falling behind early, the Sens rallied behind standout performances from Tim Stützle and Drake Batherson, with Stützle scoring twice—once in regulation and once in the shootout—and Batherson delivering the tying goal in the third period.

Linus Ullmark’s heroics in goal, including a crucial save on a breakaway in overtime, were pivotal as he made 16 saves on 18 attempts to secure the win. The Senators improved to 4-1 on the season, while Stützle’s eight points in five games placed him ninth in the league, showcasing his breakout form.
