This could be the most unstoppable offense in Chicago Bears history

The Chicago Bears kicked off their 2026 NFL campaign with an overwhelming offensive showing, defeating the Carolina Panthers 59-37 on September 13 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Quarterback Caleb Williams, wearing jersey number 18 and entering his third year as the franchise starter, orchestrated the explosive road victory.
Head coach Ben Johnson noted that he felt unusually confident the night prior after seeing his signal-caller thoroughly master every detail during their final pregame meeting.
Despite hanging 59 points on the scoreboard to open Johnson's second year at the helm, Williams demonstrated his demanding standards by remarking that the unit actually delivered its worst showing. The team still identified room for growth after dealing with penalties and unsuccessful fourth-down conversion attempts during the high-scoring affair.
