Texas Tech LB Austin Romaine gets back-to-back pick sixes vs. Sam Houston

Eleventh-ranked Texas Tech grabbed a twenty-one to zero advantage against Sam Houston during the early portion of the second quarter, fueled largely by defensive scoring rather than offensive output. Senior linebacker Austin Romaine produced consecutive interception returns for touchdowns on back-to-back defensive snaps, picking off Brett Holloway before immediately repeating the feat against Landyn Locke on the next series.

Romaine, who arrived as a transfer from Kansas State, had recorded just one interception throughout his prior three college seasons prior to this performance.
