Texas A&M drops nearly 20 spots in latest USA TODAY Re-Rank

Following a thirty-five to six defeat against LSU, Texas A&M has fallen to a two and two overall record and zero and two in conference play. Head coach Mike Elko and quarterback Marcel Reed are facing scrutiny after an offensive regression, exacerbated by the departure of last year's coordinator, Collin Klein.

The Aggies plummeted in the national rankings down to forty-seventh in the USA TODAY Re-Rank, completely exiting both the AP Top 25 and the US LBM Coaches Poll. In other Southeastern Conference action, top-ranked Texas narrowly defeated Tennessee, while Georgia secured a forty-one to seventeen victory over Oklahoma.

Texas A&M now prepares to host Arkansas as a fourteen-point favorite at the upcoming weekend matchup.
