Tampa Bay Buccaneers news: Jalon Daniels ready for first start

Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels is preparing for his initial professional start under center for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Daniels previously secured the backup quarterback job behind Baker Mayfield following an impressive exhibition slate, and he now steps into the starting role as the team gets set to face the Green Bay Packers.

Mayfield missed three contests due to an injury, allowing the newcomer an opportunity to inject life into the offensive unit.

Meanwhile, the visiting Green Bay squad will be missing linebacker Micah Parsons as he continues his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. In addition, the Packers recently evaluated former Pro Bowl offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler during a visit as the organization looks at options to bolster its front line.
