Talanoa Hufanga earns AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors

Denver safety Talanoa Hufanga picked up AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors following a stellar night against Los Angeles. The veteran defensive back registered five total tackles, one sack, three defended passes, and two interceptions during the primetime victory, including a crucial pick-six off quarterback Matthew Stafford and a game-ending takeaway on the final play.

Head coach Sean Payton rewarded the defensive standout with a game ball inside the locker room after the contest. Since arriving in Denver as a free agent signing prior to the 2025 campaign, the sixth-year defender has anchored the unit under coordinator Vance Joseph, limiting opponents to just three catches for 19 yards across ten targets this season.
