Surgery set to sideline Rams' Garrett for a month

Los Angeles Rams edge rusher Myles Garrett faces an absence of at least four matchups after being slated for arthroscopic surgery to address an injured knee. The club plans to shift the two-time AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year to injured reserve following the procedure.

Garrett, who joined the Rams via an offseason trade after establishing a record with 23 sacks during the previous campaign, had made his debut for the team in a 27-7 defeat against the San Francisco 49ers played in Australia.

Head coach Sean McVay subsequently discussed the uncertain timeline regarding the former Texas A&M and Cleveland Browns standout. The medical setback serves as an early disruption for Los Angeles, which had entered the 2026 campaign with elevated championship aspirations following the acquisition of the superstar defender.
