Florida State running backs coach Kam Martin has elevated the Seminoles ground attack through the first four contests of the year, helping the program secure ten rushing touchdowns so far. Lead ball carrier Ousmane Kromah has contributed five of those scores, accumulating 397 yards while averaging 6.20 yards per carry.
Despite losing versatile contributor Sam Singleton Jr. to an extended knee absence stemming from the Alabama matchup, depth piece Quintrevion Wisner has stepped into a complementary role alongside Kromah.
Looking ahead to their upcoming matchup against Virginia, Martin and head coach Mike Norvell are tasked with designing a game plan to exploit weaknesses observed when West Virginia previously gashed the Cavaliers defensive front for 247 yards and three touchdowns. Martin brings a strong track record to Tallahassee, having previously developed prolific runners at Tulsa, Incarnate Word, and UCF, where he guided RJ Harvey to massive production over two seasons.
