Steelers sign CB following Joey Porter Jr. trade

Pittsburgh has promoted defensive back Doneiko Slaughter to the active roster from the practice squad following the departure of Joey Porter Jr via trade. The move comes ahead of Thursday night's game against Cleveland, with Slaughter having previously exhausted his maximum of three temporary elevations.

In addition to Slaughter's promotion, running back Lew Nichols was temporarily elevated for the matchup. Meanwhile, defensive backs Brandin Echols and Jalen Ramsey are both expected to play despite being listed as questionable.
