State of the East: Knicks title defense, Duren drama & Philly’s upside with Jonathan Macri

Kevin O'Connor and Jonathan Macri gathered on a recent podcast episode to evaluate the Eastern Conference landscape, focusing heavily on New York's championship defense. The discussion covered multiple roster questions, including how the franchise might adjust following Mitchell Robinson's departure to Boston and whether Andre Drummond could step in to fill that void.

Additionally, analysts reviewed the contract situations surrounding Jalen Duren and Karl-Anthony Towns, alongside the squad's recent television appearance.

Beyond the defending champions, the conversation turned toward the primary obstacles standing in New York's path through the conference. The Pacers, Sixers, and Raptors were highlighted as the top threats challenging the titleholders this season.

Listeners can catch the full discussion on the Yahoo Sports NBA channel across various podcast platforms.
